The Miami Valley Music Festival Association, (MVMFA) is excited to extend an invitation to any public charity interested in promoting their organization at the 2011 Miami Valley Music Fest! The event is to be held August 12th-13th at the Troy Eagles Campgrounds located at 2252 Troy-Urbana Rd, Troy, OH.

One of the purposes of the MVMFA is “to educate music festival attendees regarding the importance of donating funds and time to charitable organizations.” To develop this important part of our mission, the MVMFA is encouraging local public charity organizations to actively participate in its annual music festival to raise awareness for their charitable purposes. Not only will your organization have the opportunity to gain exposure to a younger marketing base, but you may also have the opportunity to use the event as a fundraiser for your organization. There are multiple ways that your organization can participate in the event, which are outlined below.

Host a booth at the 2011 Music Fest

Open to any public charity organization interested in promoting themselves!

Any public charity organization is encouraged to host a booth at the Miami Valley Music Fest. At the booth, your organization is encouraged to provide information to festival attendees about your organization. Your group may also choose to organize an activity to further promote your charity, or conduct a fundraiser at the event. Fundraising ideas must be approved by the MVMFA Board of Directors. Each charitable organization that applies for a booth will receive two tickets to the event, and a 15’x15’ plot of land at the festival free of charge. Fill out the Charity Form to apply.

Participate in the “Charity Rocks! Philanthropy Competition”

A great fundraising and marketing opportunity! 501(c)(3) organizations preferred.

Local bands selected to play at the Miami Valley Music Fest have the opportunity to represent a local public charity at the event through the “Charity Rocks! Philanthropy Competition.” Bands will sell pre-sale tickets prior to the event, and $7.50 from every ticket sold will be donated to their selected charity. The band will also promote this charity during their performance at the Miami Valley Music Fest. The band that raises the most funds for their selected charity will win a $500 gift card to Sound City Music. Your charity organization could be represented by a band at the 2011 Music Fest! In exchange for the band’s support, local charities are expected to aid the band in selling pre-sale tickets, along with providing the band with promotional material (t-shirts, fliers, etc.) to help them promote your organization. This could be a great fundraiser for your organization! If you are interested in being considered for the “Charity Rocks! Each year, the MVMFA makes a charitable contribution to local charities with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Please fill out theCharity Form” if you are interested in being considered as a beneficiary of one of these donations.
